Dying Asian black hair with Clairol Natural Instincts Vibrant box dye?

Hi, I also have jet black hair so I know what your talking about. The best thing to do if you want to lighten your hair is have it stripped at the hairdressers, this totally lightens it, and you can dye it any colour you like then. The only thing is after getting it stripped you have to use conditioner to keep the hair soft and hydrated. I have tried some other products before on my hair but none usually work great and I see very little difference.
