What is the difference between LCD and plasma tvs? Which is better?
Go online to Home Theater Magazine and read the reviews on tv, along with the pro and con of each technology. Keep in mind that you are not going to see the difference between 720P and 1080P in screen smaller than a 46". Also the only source for 1080P is the blu ray disc movies and some PS3 Video games, tv program in HD are only in 720P. Some cable and disc network provider does up convert the signal to 1080P. If you read yahoo questions, you will notice that 95% of tv problems comes from LCD/LED tv and 95% of those are the bargain price tv. Panasonic and Samsung are the top 2 brand for reliability. LCD and LED tv have problems with blur motion when watching fast action sports of movies, to reduce the blur motion you need the faster refresh rate of 120HZ or the 240HZ which also raise the price of the tv. All the other specs are not really important at all. Let your own eyes be the judge. Keep in mind, you get what you pay for. Hope this will help you out.
