What does a pencil represent?

Im doing a speech, the object that represents me is a pencil. I have to have 2 main points, my first one Is about drawing and art and my second point is about how the pencil compares to my personality. I have a few points that I compared to myself already like the vibrant color of a pencil, dull and sharpness at times, and able to erase mistakes and write on. Is there any other aspects of a pencil that would be a good idea to compare to me? You obviously don't know me, but maybe you could give me some ideas that you might compare to yourself? Thank you!
