Is it normal for one eye to be stronger than the other?

Colors seem more vibrant in my left eye than the right one. Words also seem blurred from a distance, as in the other eye, it can be seen clearly. When both eyes are open, I don't notice it. I go to the eye doctor in 11 days. Should I tell her this? They've already checked my prescription. I'm not sure if this has been like this forever, or just started.
