How can i fix my galaxy s vibrant?

I tried to update My phone from 2.2 to 2.2.1 using odin3, when my phone rebooted it started up normally then just shut off. I'm unable to put the phone into download mode or recovery. When I pull and replace the battery my phone goes straight to a unmoving loading icon and it stays o. This screen until the phone dies. Now I can't even plug it into the computer because the computer doesn't even know it's plugged in. Is there anything I can do to fix this?
